Nicole is an Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP) with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field. Nicole received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University in 2011 and went on to receive a Master’s of Science in Nursing with emphasis on adult geriatric acute care nurse practitioner in 2014. While practicing as an advanced practice provider, Nicole earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Arizona 2017. Her doctoral project focused on providing education to all levels of emergency medical staff involved in caring for patients who are intubated in the emergency department.
Nicole’s nursing background as a Registered Nurse (RN), focused primarily on acute cardiac patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). She also treated and cared for patients in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit and Medical Intensive Care Unit at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. Nicole cared for hundreds of complex cardiovascular patients with conditions ranging from acute and chronic coronary disease to advanced heart failure. Prior to joining Tri-City Cardiology, Nicole Jones worked with a cardiology private practice emphasizing on electrophysiology.
Nicole is excited to continue her career at Tri-City Cardiology and provide exceptional care in treating patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. Nicole’s philosophy of care focuses on being an active patient advocate, providing education to patients on their health care needs, and ensuring shared decision making to provide goal directed therapy to all cardiac patients.
