Dr. Shashank Jain is board certified in Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from BVMC, India. He then went to East Tennessee State University to obtain his master’s degree in public health. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, PA. He then completed his Cardiology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Between his time in training he also practiced as an academic hospitalist and a cardiologist for 5 years. He then proceeded to complete a fellowship in Interventional & Structural Heart at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. 

Dr. Jain brings his clinical experience and expertise to Tri City Cardiology. His interests include percutaneous management of shock, coronary and valvular diseases. This includes procedures such as coronary angioplasty, trans-catheter aortic or mitral valve replacement (TAVR, TMVR), trans-catheter mitral valve edge-to-edge repair such as MitraClip, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure. 

Dr. Jain believes in shared decision making when it comes to management of his patients. His broad range of training spanning the coronary and structural specialties along with years of experience allows him to treat each patient with honesty, compassion, and respect for individual autonomy. 

Outside of work, Dr. Jain loves spending times with his kids and family.  He enjoys photography, traveling and exploring the outdoors.
